Simple Sundy

Last Sunday at went down to Main Street to get an ice cream. I didn’t want anything fancy…just good ole vanilla ice cream on a cone.  I paid what was due and couldn’t wait to taste it. There’s something about these yummy treats that take me back to when I was a child. Life as I see it...simple, no worries really, and just fun. So now the young lady hands me my ice cream cone and off I go. The anticipation is too much that I forget to pick up some napkins and exit the building. The fist lick is always the best - besides the last you know. I sit right outside the parlor on a huge circle planter with seating, as I begin to enjoy my treat. In spite of this, my ice cream begins to melt. The warmth of cool evening air launches the start of thawing, therefore had to go get those napkins. The rest, well you get the picture, right? A simple Sunday.

Empty Nest

I just wanted to let you all know that Bonnie left the nest on Sunday morning. Then Clyde got the courage and left this morning. The nest is empty. I hope to see them around, as the feeder is full & ready for them. Goodbye my little friends!

These two Anna's Hummingbirds are growing out of the nest. Soon they will be off. I will miss them so.

Daily I have the very best view! I cannot believe how fast these Anna's can grow.

Life is full of Color

Life is full of colors like a box of crayons. Some days are yellow & bright...then there are other days that are blue & gloomy. But tomorrow can be rainbow!

Volunteer!

The family is getting ready to head out to go volunteer at the Second Harvest Food Bank in OC. We've been assigned to warehouse food sorting...it's time to give back!

09-09-09 Once in a lifetime...

The date 09-09-09 will never happen again in my lifetime. So my birthday today is a special one. It's exciting you know?!? I'm not sure if I feel older, yet I feel very young at heart. Others say that I look pretty good for my age, which I will NOT mention (he he).

Lots of other good things are suppose to occur today. And even though I have to work today...later and the days to come with be celebrated with family and friends from now until Sunday. Who knows...maybe even until next week. Happy Birthday to me and all those on this day too!
