“Flowers” poem by Raymond A. Foss

Three flowers
bloom each day

Falsely fragile Queen Anne’s Lace
Clump of effervescent Daisies
A singular Black-eyed Susan

Wildflowers all
growing in the fields
of our hearts

Each her own
scent, shape, pose
Craning for light, food, attention

Willingly, lovingly tended
by the gardener,
the one who sowed the seed.

  1. Thank you for visiting my Daily Photo site for Costa Rica, which led me to your blog, which I am now following. Your close up photos of plants and flowers are the type of pictures that my wife (Julie of Scottsdale Daily Photo) likes to take and post on her site. My late parents lived in Laguna Hills, so I am familiar with your area. I look forward to your future photos.

  2. NatureStop - glad you like it!
Dave - Wow Laguna, huh? I'm there often. Some of my Flickr (link to the right) photos are of Lauguna. The OC and beach area is my life. My husband is a surfer and I love to take photo where ever I can. Now, are you in CR or a trip?
