Confident Pelican
Today while walking on the HB pier the weather was sunny yet gloomy as I tried out my Christmas gift, a Nikon D60, along with my ole P80. I was surprised by this confident pelican that was sitting on the guardrail. I think this is a California Brown.
Many people gathered, watched and took photographs. One guy even tried to give the bird a french fry. And I am glad that it did not eat it. Birds should not eat processed food folks!
This inquisitive and calm pelican just watched us. The eyes are so beautiful and innocent. The feathers looked so soft and lovely. And the bill was tough.
But what I loved most of all was the silver-gray feet! Wow, the shine and the texture was amazing. Good-bye my friend and I hope we meet again!

Imperfect Web
As I walked along a path within Heisler Park in Laguna Beach, CA this small web caught my eye. I focused it in and what a site it was. This tiny wonder was amazing and so detailed that it looks like natures map of beauty.

Mr. Pelican now
While taking a walk and as I looked up in the sky, this signage was screaming “cuteness!” I fell in love with it. I will be passing 'it' (what I call “Mr. Pelican” now) often.

Blooming Aloe Vera Plant
This bright succulent is one of natures wonders. A garden of these aloe vera plants would be just wonderful. Early in the year is when I took this up close bloom photograph. I'm not the best plant identifier, however, I believe that this is a Aloe Vera Chinensis due to the orange bloom.

Angeles Mountains
Angeles National Forest
I believe that these mountains are close to Falling Springs....just West of Mt. Baldy, which got some snow two nights ago. What a gorgeous view on the snowy mountains from afar. We are expecting more either tonight or tomorrow.
